I’m 28 (not getting younger).
I’m married (I love my wife).
I’m a father (I love my child).
I work (I like my job).
I pay taxes (probably doesn’t need a comment).
I’m in the Marines (the greatest nation on God’s green earth!).
I’ve deployed to Iraq (and am proud to have done so).
I enjoy most aspects of technology (is there anybody that actually liked Microsoft Bob).
I like soccer (Go Sounders FC!).
I’m politically conservative (I’ll treat this like the dinner table).
I’m an entrepreneur (CompuShelter).
I am an open source advocate (because openness and transparency is the only way to operate).
I heart teh linux (sorry Debian/Ubuntu fans, I’m a Red Hat guy).
I enjoy scripting (ain’t automation great!).
I yearn for education (Education comes from within; you get it by struggle and effort and thought.).
I am a geek, but not a nerd (Yes, there is a difference!).
I strive for perfection but know it can not be achieved (does that even make sense?).
Most importantly, I love my family and cherish my friends.

Really though, if you want to know more about me, use the contact page. I’m pretty easy going most of the time but I can get a bit passionate about many subjects which will often end in a wordy rant. Some of my particular pet peeves that really draw my ire are:

  • Uncommon sense
  • Unnecessary complexity
  • Fixing things that are not broken
  • Basing decisions on ignorance
  • Close-mindedness

Other than those things, I am pretty chill.
